Welp, still feeling pretty gross but I hit 14 weeks today and am hoping that an end is coming soon to the nausea. I'm officially out of the first trimester and being sick has already started to come and go on most days (intead of being a constant part of my everyday life) so like I said hopefully soon it will just GO. Surprisingly the nausea has not been the worst part. The worst is the fact that I HATE food but I get hungry like every two hours. So I'm starving (the nausea get's worse when I get hungry) but yet I can't find anything I like/want to eat. Not only that, if I do find something that I want to eat, I eat it, and then possibly later that night or for sure the next day I can't even think about what I ate the night before without gagging. So it's quite the cycle and I just hope that my appetite goes back to normal soon, I'm running out of options here...

There have been a couple of things that I can eat consistently and I have eaten many many many of them in the last three months.

GRAPEFRUIT (with sugar - of course) - I go through about six a week - that's twelve halves for seven days. Love it

STRAWBERRIES AND MILK (with sugar - of course)

This last one is a recent addition - SUPER PRETZELS - pop these babies in the microwave for 30 seconds and they are fantastic (with cinnamon sugar or salt - of course)

All that being said, I want to stress the fact that I'm not trying to complain. I am so happy and grateful that I have this opportunity to go through this. There are so many people out there who can't and I can only imagine what that must feel like. There are also people who have nausea (not to mention vomiting) much worse then me (just don't mention those pregnant women who never feel sick a day in their pregnany...they make me angry - ha ha). So as much as it wears on me sometimes, I have to remind myself what it is for and how excited I am for the end result (and terrified at times) but that's a post for another day :)

Thanks for all of the congratulations and well wishes. You guys are the best!

  1. So glad to hear you are having a few good days. If it makes you feel any better, I'm almost at 20 weeks and still vomiting every once in a while. Although, more good days than bad days now:) Love you!

  3. Carson is heartless. Although I in fact never got sick while pregnant I have much sympathy to those that do. Hang in there Leslie!
