A couple of weeks ago my family went to Oceanside, California for a nice week long get-a-way. It was so much fun! I loved just spending time with my family for a whole week and getting to do so many fun things.

We walked along the pier to go to Ruby's for dinner one night and there was the prettiest sunset. The pictures don't do it justice but what a cute family I have - just don't mind the gigantic pregnant girl :)

We also went to Disney Land. I obviously couldn't go on any of the big rides but I had fun hanging out with Sullivan and Tessa when we couldn't go with everyone else. It's kind of funny that the "happiest place on earth" was where I saw most children crying - including Tessa a couple of times, Sullivan a little bit, and I admit it I had my own little break down towards the end of the day. I was hot, tired, uncomfortable, and although I thoroughly enjoyed myself all day I pushed it a little too far. Luckily I got to watch the awesome water show at California Adventure to calm down. Seriously if you get a chance to see it you should!


This is a picture from the Buzz Lightyear ride. Me, Chelsea, Alex, Tessa, and Sullivan went on it while everyone else tried to ride Space Mountain (tried because the line ended up being forever long!) and it was the most exciting ride of my day! And was actually really fun. We ended up going on it twice because we had to share the fun with everyone who missed it the first time. I don't know if the picture is big enough but Chels has totally got her game face on...

One day we went to Old Town San Diego to shop and look around. We stopped at the new Mormon Battalion museum which turned out to be really fun for the kids (and adults) and a nice little stop

That same day we stopped at Mission Beach to shop and grab some ice cream

On the way home we stopped at the Rainbow outlet to get some flip-flops

And Sully got a taste of his first slot machine's when we stopped for dinner in Mesquite! He loved it! Start 'em young that's what I say :)
