A few random things...

Our friends Trevor and Gina were married at the beginning of January. We are so excited for them!

I finished painting/redecorating the last room (well almost last - the extra bedroom we use for storage doesn't count) in our house! It is so exciting to be done painting. We seriously repainted EVERY room in our house because it was all painted this really ugly brown/orange color. So our last project was the upstairs bathroom. I am so disappointed that I didn't get any before/after shots because this was probably one of the most drastic changes we made. This bathroom had all gold fixtures that we replaced, a box light fixture all across the ceiling that we (with much help from Doug's dad) tore out and replaced after having to cut out a lot of dry wall as well (quite the project), I painted, and added newer molding to the floors and ceiling. I also made the pictures on the walls (there are 3 of them and it was quite the fiasco but turned out in the end). I love it now!! Thanks pinterest for the grey/white and molding idea. Love it!

Here is just a random picture of Molly because I just can't get enough of her (well sometimes I can and that's when Daddy takes over - ha ha) We sure do love this little face! Especially now that she smiles! I'll catch one of those smiles on camera eventually. Don't mind the slight red-eye, I didn't edit these pics.

And lastly, I want you to notice two things about this picture. 1 - Folks, we have a thumb sucker on our hands! Molly has found she prefers sucking her thumb/fist over a binkie any day. Doug hates it and always trys to make her stop but I say whatever makes her happy... 2 - She's balding. That's right, balding. I guess I shouldn't have expected anything different. I knew the time would come when she would lose that delicious full head of hair I was just in denial. It will grow back but until then, bring on the mohawk!

  1. Oh - Hannah went through a serious balding phase. I was in partial denial about it at the time, but looking back on pictures - it was BAD. Her hair will grow back...no worries. Love the bathroom.

  2. Haha! My sister-in-law insists that her baby girls sleep on a satin pillow case so they don't get the bald spots as badly. I really don't think even that would have helped with the boys! She is so darling, hair or not!

  3. K les, I hate to have to disagree with you on this one, but I'm going to. Doug is absolutely right on taking her thumb away. One of these days, ask me about the hell we went through to get Becca to stop sucking her thumb. It goes a little something like this. Paint her thumb every day for almost 3 months, only to miss a day and have her go right back to sucking her thumb. Start again, and then have her decde to suck on her TOES!! Yes, that's right! Then we let her have a binkin if she promised to stop sucking her thumb. She did, and we just in the last 3 months got her to stop that. She was 3 1/2 at that point!!! Her teeth are totally messed up and no doubt going to require some serious orthodontic work! BTW, braces cost about $5,000 now:) Hope that helps:) Love you!!!
